On This Date in Minnesota History: April 14

April 14, 1999 – Nathan Edberg, a 21-year-old man from Vadnais Heights went to Decoy’s bar at 2143 4th Street in White Bear Lake around 7:30 pm. The bartender reported that the unemployed Edberg, a regular customer, seemed less upbeat than usual. No one saw him leave the bar, but Edberg’s truck was located in a ditch at the junction of Hwy 694 and Hwy 35E. Authorities believe Edberg probably went into the ditch after missing his exit, but the trail stops there.”
