July 26, 1974 - Genevieve Gorder, the host of Dear Genevieve on the HGTV cable channel and one of the original decorators of the TLC's hit series Trading Spaces, was born on this date in Minneapolis, Minn.1

In March 2013 she began a partnership with Minnesota-based Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world's largest hotel groups, to launch a new brand identity and a new generation hotel prototype for Country Inns & Suites.<sup>2
