On This Date in Minnesota History: February 28

February 28, 1925 – “A strong earthquake on [this date] centered in the St. Lawrence River region near La Malbaie, Quebec, Canada, was felt widely in the Northeastern United States. The shock was lightly felt at Minneapolis.”
