On This Date in Minnesota History: November 24

November 24, 1986 – The Minnesota Twins hire Tom Kelly as the team’s manager. Kelly had been “named as interim manager when Ray Miller was fired on September 12.”1 At 36, he was the major leagues’ youngest manager.2
