On This Date in Minnesota History: November 24

November 24, 1986 – The Minnesota Twins hire Tom Kelly as the team’s manager. Kelly had been “named as interim manager when Ray Miller was fired on September 12.”¹ At 36, he was the major leagues’ youngest manager.<sup>2
