On This Date in Minnesota History: September 27

September 27, 2014 – The Minnesota Golden Gophers beat the Michigan Wolverines at home 30-14, resulting in the return of the Little Brown Jug to Minnesota for only the second time in the last 24 games of one of the longest-running rivalries in college football.
