On This Dte in Minnesota History: October 14

October 14, 2013 – A victory parade in celebration of the Minnesota Lynx’s second WBNA Championship in three years wound its way through downtown Minneapolis on this date. The parade began at 11:30 a.m. at 12th and Nicollett and moved down the mall, turning at Seventh Street and heading up First Avenue North.

The Lynx beat the Atlanta Dream 86 to 77 on October 10 in Atlanta. Lynx forward Maya Moore was named the finals MVP.
