On This Date in Minnesota History: April 13

April 13, 1923Stacy, Minn., first settled in 1870 and established in 1875, was named in honor of Dr. Stacy B. Collins, an early resident. The post office was established in 1873, and the village had a station of the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad; it was incorporated as a village on this date.
