On This Date in Minnesota History: June 28

June 28, 1984 – Directed by Brian DePalma, the iconic Bruce Springsteen “Dancing in the Dark” music video was filmed on this date at the St. Paul Civic Center. The audience was not real: it was made up of about 200 extras. Courtney Cox got the role of the adoring fan in the front row that gets to dance on stage with Bruce. She landed a role of the sitcom Family Ties soon after.
