On This Date in Minnesota History: September 23

September 23, 1969 - A life-sized statue of Hubert H. Humphrey that stands in the middle archway of the entrance into the Minneapolis City Hall was presented on this date by the Mayor of Minneapolis, Donald M. Fraser, the Minneapolis City Council, Alice W. Rainville, President, and the Minneapolis Arts Commission.
