On This Date in Minnesota History: November 25

November 25, 1965 – Cris Carter, wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, was born on this date in Troy, Ohio. Carter left the Vikings in 2001 as their all-time leader in, among other things, receptions (1,004) and receiving yards (12,383), and touchdowns (110).

On Feb. 2, 2013, Carter was announced as an inductee into the Hall of Fame Class of 2013 along with Bill Parcells, Larry Allen, Jonathan Ogden, Warren Sapp, Curley Culp and Dave Robinson.
