On This Date in Minnesota History: July 16


July 16, 1986 – “Nancy Daugherty, 38, was found murdered in the bedroom of her Chisholm, Minn., home. She had been severely beaten and raped. Daugherty was a 38-year old mother of two, and worked as an aide in a local nursing home. She also volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician for the Chisholm Ambulance Service.” Her murder has not been solved.
