December 25, 1855 – Frederick Greiner was born
on this date in Chaska, Minn. Greiner was Chaska’s mayor from 1892 to 1898; proprietor of Chaska House, the community’s first hotel, and engaged in the manufacture of brick and tile (Greiner & Corning) from
1882 to his death in 1910. His cream-colored brick home in Chaska built ca. 1870 was
named to the National Register of Historical Places on Jan. 4, 1980.
