On this Date in Minnesota history: July 12

July 12, 1975 – The Johannes Erickson log cabin [was] opened to the public by the Washington County Historical Society [on this date]. This historic structure was originally built in 1868 by a Swedish immigrant and required three months of renovation before being hoisted on wheels and moved 1.5 miles to the Hay Lake area.”
