On This Date in Minnesota History: April 6

April 6, 1978Edwin Hawley Hewitt (born in Red Wing, Minn., 1874), a prominent local architect in Minneapolis, Minn., designed this house at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Stevens Avenue in 1906. The house is within the Stevens Square neighborhood, and is now a funeral home. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on this date.
